ASPARAGUS.

Knew unemployment would be hell on the food budget(non-existent), so I stocked up. Mostly ramen, beans, soybeans, homemade granola, canned goods, but also some luxury items like asparagus that were given to me, and some good homemade bread and veggies and fruits from the Farmer's Market that I put into the freezer.

So the ant is sitting here eating asparagus, and feeling sorry for the grasshopper.

2. Brr.
Hope you have walls and heat. Your wind chill factor falls well within my definition of "ass cold." :)

4. New Mexico....wind warning today.
Probably will hear about crashes on I-10 due to blowing dust, although we have had some rain recently.

House very cold, old house w/o insulation, only one room heater. Wearing 3 layers of flannel. Will probably curl up soon on flannel sheets, watching Ben Hur, and drinking warm egg nog.

But ASPARAGUS mid-winter has a very cheering effect.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. :toast:

5. If You're Knawing Spears
You're a better person than I am: I can't even be in the same room Asparagus is cooked or served in.

Now, if you want to talk about different veggies, I do have 30+ years of experience and opinion based upon corn, tomatoes and veggies in my area.
