22. Great SNLskit way back in the day with Jesse Jackson
If I remember it correctly it was a game show and Jesse hosted. Every time he asked a question and the contestant started to answer he interrupted them "The question is MOOT! While poor children lie in bed ......"

It was quite funny.

I became a Democrat while watching his speech at the '92 convention "That's not America" about Poppa Bush

Funny thing-I was in the Army at the time and a year later when I came home my and my buddies were sitting around and somehow Jesse's name came up...all four of us (they watched it together) all at once said "DID YOU SEE THAT SPEECH??" and none of were really all that political before then.

3,000 miles away odd huh?

really kicked a$$ too. I was still a Reagan supporter, but I was kinda floored by it. I didn't see the 1992 speech since I did not have a TV for most of the 1990s.

37. My husband says the same thing
It freakin' drives me over the edge, mainly because I'm a legal assistant, have a year of law school under my belt and know that the damned word is "moot". I've corrected him 8 ways to Sunday and he stills says "mute". No you idiot, the point is MOOT. Thank you for letting me rant.
