Metrosexuals the world over are about to face a challenge heretofore unheard of: unsupervised zhuzhing.

Five seasons after kicking off a male grooming revolution—and spurring untold amounts of hair gel sales—Queer Eye's Fab Five are officially disbanding.

Bravo made the announcement Friday that this summer's 10-episode run will be the series' last.

"We proudly watched as viewers embraced the series that really helped open the closet doors on gays and their presence on television and in popular culture," Frances Berwick, Bravo's VP of programming and production, said in announcing the show's end.

Make-better engineers Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Ted Allen, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez made their prime-time debut on July 15, 2003, and quickly manscaped their way into the hearts of Middle America.

The show followed as the Fab Five transformed a culturally deficient straight man—or 25—into walking GQ ads.
