While Bodhi Oser has been pleasantly surprised by the number of bookstores willing to carry his book, he recognizes that its obscenity-laced title will cause many merchants to think twice.

"A lot of places don't display the book face out," says the author of Fuck This Book.

Still, even Oser was shocked to see Christian Discipleship Center come up on Froogle as one of the retailers selling his book. "It was the last place I'd expect to see it," he says. "It's not exactly a match made in heaven."

Nor is it an isolated case. Searches for controversial products and four-letter words on Froogle and Yahoo Shopping readily yield a veritable orgy of odd bedfellows.

In addition to Oser's book, the Christian Discipleship Center sells Richard Dawkins' treatise against faith, The God Delusion, and even a CD by Satan (the band, that is).
