However, Mr. Brooks, a fellow Rochester, NY, native, was always stone-cold sober. Ms. Abdul...well...since that's not supposed to be part of her act, it's probably not an act.

My uncle met Brooks once or twice and said he was a fantastic guy. I may be wrong, but I think my uncle said that Brooks was an alcoholic earlier in his life, got sober, and then raked in barrels of cash acting like he used to. But like I said, I may be wrong on that. Don't want to slander Brooks' memory by accusing him of an addiction he may not have had. :)

As for Paula--honey, get help...
