What do the "24 / American Idol Suck " posters hope to accomplish
besides increasing their post count?

I'm just amazed at the amount of vitrol these two shows (over the rest of everything else on TV) generate on DU and am just wondering why people feel the need to question the intelligence of those who wish to watch the shows.

2. A reasonable question, but why do we post any of the
blather we post in the Lounge? I mean, why do you care enough to ask the question?

We all have our reasons and if you don't care for a post, then ignore it. That's what I do :)

4. To make people feel guilty for not watching the news 24/7...
and being perpetually offended/pissed off by what they see (or don't see) on the news?


I don't care for "24" and I don't watch AI religiously, but I'm not going to begrudge anyone their desire to "escape" for a couple of hours.
