Alright, I am sick and damn tired of everything I buy comes
to whatever and .01 cent.

Does anything ever come to an even amount anymore?

When I hear the total come to $5.01 at the drive-thru, half of me wants to cancel my order.

By the end of the day, I have so many damn pennies in my pocket, I have to tighten my belt one hole to keep my pants from sliding off my ass.

And nobody needs to see that. :blush:

This is a week's worth of change:

I save 'em up. There's a bank not far from me that has a machine in their lobby that will count them and give you a receipt. Bring it to the teller and get your money.

And none of the 8 or 9 cent charge for every dollar like CoinStar.

16. lol - hey, know what I do with all those damn pennies?
I love candy, chocolate - in the supermarkets here they have those Brach Candy bins where you can load up on various Brach candies in a bag and buy by weight - well, they have a little slot for money - it's 25 cents for three pieces of candy - I routinely count out 25 pennies and stick it in that thing and get me some canddy. :D

22. I got lucky one times
a Boy Scout unit came by asking for pennies for some fundraiser they were doing - LOL I raided my Chicago Bears mug, the bottom of my purse, the top of my dresser and my car for those guys :D

17. No, it's gonna cost $11.01 or $16.01
and I'll tell you something else. If you try to outsmart them by carrying a penny for this purpose, they automatically recalibrate to $x.02.

And now, about the pants situation. I know I won't be getting anymore work done today. :sigh:

See, next they'll charge you 5.04 so you'll give 'em a nickel that they get to keep because you can't be bothered with a penny. That actually happened to me, the clerk wasn't going to give me my penny back but I stood there until she did.

The main reason it's a federal offense to tamper with our currency is because the copper made in them is worth considerably more than the coin itself. Provided the penny was made before 1982 when they were 95% copper. Now they are 97.5% zinc with a thin copper coating.
