Larry King Calls FNC "A Republican Brand"

In remarks that sounded as if they could have been written for an episode of Seinfeld, CNN's Larry King described the rival Fox News Channel Wednesday as "a Republican brand. They're an extension of the Republican Party with some exceptions -- Greta van Susteren." Then, recalling Seinfeld's "not that there's anything wrong with that" aphorism, King remarked, "I don't begrudge them that. Roger Ailes is an old friend. They've been nice to me." King also discussed the avalanche of news stories about the Laci Peterson, Natalee Holloway, and Jonbenet Ramsey cases. He said that he "didn't understand devoting that much time" to the first two cases but called the Ramsey case "amazing." He added, however, "We ask ourselves, if she were a black girl, without the film would we have done it? No. And that's a travesty."
