We actually had snow here on Vancouver Island. It snows maybe one day a year here, and it's usually gone by the next day.

But this year I had to get out and shovel a path through the 2" which stayed, for our friendly mail carrier's visit tomorrow.

I better take the edge off with a nice mulled cider or something...

And then I'm going out to take a pic of the snow-covered palm tree in our backyard.

4. Somewhere in Vancouver, B.C.
Think it's going to be a home wedding and garden reception. Don't have all the details yet. Might fly into Seattle, see a nephew and daughter's mil, and drive up.
Know how long a drive it would be?

5. Seattle to Vancouver is about 3 hours drive, but...
the Border is a wildcard. If you have the option, plan to cross the Border into Canada after 9pm or so. Most of the family vacationers and commercial trucks cross during the day.

It's an easy drive...all Interstate until you get to Canada, and then it's all Provincial Highway right into Vancouver.

2. Snowing here.
Not hard, but a stiff wind too.

And as the week goes on, it'll get colder.
Possibly below zero by Wednesday.
