What eye color do you naturally have?

(I say "naturally" because lately I seem to hear a lot of people talking about using those weird contacts that make your eyes another color.... :crazy:)

I would post this as a poll, but my donor star is MIA. (:eyes:) My fault alone for letting it lapse. But until then...

I have hazel eyes. They really do change, drastically, from a deep blue to a green, sometimes, depending on what I wear, but they're usually a muddied green-brown with yellow rims around the pupil. Right now they are a sort of dulling peridot green, remarkably uniform in color considering their usual swirl of shades of colors, with a kind of grey-ish undertone.

Mama WIMR has similar eyes to mine, except hers are often blue while mine are often green. (Her dad has very blue, what he calls "true Irish" :eyes:, eyes, while her mom had brown eyes.) Papa WIMR has brown eyes, not very dark but not whiskey-eyes, either. (His dad is another blue-eyed soul, while his mom has his eyes.)

But when I'm outside they look pale blue.

No blue but brown-green hazel. Most of the time, they're kinda half and half - green on the outside with a ring of brown inside - but if I cry or get misty, they turn a deep, beautiful green (marred by the bloodshot whites and the redness all around, of course).

They also get very green when I'm mad.

A friend of mine wears those colored contacts. Except hers make her look like she has a cat's eyes

Especially if they had to be the same creepy eyes as my cats' (one has green-yellow eyes, the other's I swear are orange.)

Now, not so often, although I don't know for sure--I'm never really looking at my own eyes :P

but the predominant color is green. I just looked at them, and today they have some flecks of yellow in them as well. (And a little bloodshot from rubbing them!)

But I know what you mean. I'm brown eyed and always have liked men with brown eyes, and it makes me cringe when I hear people talk about blue eyes like they're the beauty litmus test.

one thing about snagging Sniffa is that I finally got the tall, dark haired, blue eyed boy of my dreams...And really, his eyes are crazy blue :D

My maternal grandmother had one blue and one green eye.

When I have a tan, it's very noticeable. One very blue, the other hazel. Not as noticeable in this pic though.

Zarco or, if female, Zarca. It means a person with different colored eyes. It is believed that such people live charmed lives.

When I was in preschool, I used to insist that my eyes were blue. My parents were like, "Whatever." :D

I always loved the olive green color of his eyes, and lo and behold, about a year after he died, my eyes changed color.

not to blue though. the changes depend on mood. the colors are: green, a yellow/green, brownish and i have flecks of gold in them.

My eyes are brown, but not a very interesting shade. I used to work with a guy whose eyes were reminiscent of a cola-flavored Slurpee. That is a nice shade of brown!

When I first met my sister-in-law we were at a restaurant having dinner. My sister-in-law said to my girlfriend (now wife), "I just watched his eyes change color!" My wife replied, "I told you!"

Not the deep blue that makes women swoon, but more the color of my parent's 1968 Country Squire station wagon. You know, that kind of blue.

My dad has dark brown and my mom green, so you'd think I might have ended up with something hazel-ish, but I don't see any green in my eyes. My sis ended up with dark brown like my dad's, while mine are a lighter shade of brown. I like 'em, though. A lot of people with brown eyes don't seem to like theirs and wish they had another color, but I think brown eyes look just as good as green or brown. Nice-looking eyes come in all colors.

Although depending upon what I'm wearing they can appear more green or brown. Wore an olive colored shirt the other day and someone complimented me on my green eyes. Other times folks have remarked about my brown eyes.

They change--usually depending on my mood or state of mind (altered or not). It's weird--I guess they're KIND of hazel since they change but there's hardly any brown in them.

well it's more orange than red

I have brown eyes and was born blonde. Sis too. Not sure how many brown eyed blondes there are, but mom used to tell us the brown eyes were Choctaw, the blonde hair, Irish..

My brown eyes are Seminole and Cherokee and the red
hair is Scottish.

They're quite nice, if I do say so myself.

They radiate from dark brown towards the cornea to the gold closer to the white. And they are changeable in different lights.

My eyes are also super sensitive to sunlight.

I really have purdy eyes.

If I'm in a dark setting, my eyes turn green. If I'm in a real bright place, my eyes turn blue.

with a little bit of amber thrown in there too...a lot depends on my mood and what colors I'm wearing. They come from my mom's side of the family.

My brother got the eye color from my dad's side of the family...beautiful gray-blue. Like the sea. The girls dig it. :)

a combination of my dad - German, Irish, Scottish (blue)

& my Mom -French, American Indian (Blackfoot) & English (brown)

My grandmother was 1/2 French & 1/2 Blackfoot Indian

Almost black.

Olive green with a little golden brown around the pupil. I've never noticed them change color, though.

and when I cry, they're either electric blue or violet. My younger blother has perfect cornflower blue eyes, so pretty. Dropkid has DARK brown eyes, very beautiful.
