1. Did you
donate any extra money to help reduce the debt?

3. No.
Why should I donate money to cover Republican rear end? They got us in this mess with deficit spending, Clinton got started in solving it, it'll take another Democratic President to finish it off.

5. I was hoping you would laugh more at that.
Ironically enough, if you donate money to reduce the debt, that is tax deductible. :crazy:

I burst out laughing though. I am taking training from the IRS so that I can volunteer to help poor people with their taxes. Under 'frequently asked questions' was 'How do I pay extra money to help reduce the debt?' That's a 'frequently asked question'?

4. $2,262
Feds = $1471
State = $791

Not spending a cent. The money will go into savings to cover the property taxes at the end of the year.

11. We'll end up paying, I'm sure
and a fair amount, too.

We don't like to loan the gov't money with no interest.

If you've got the discipline to set aside your refund for your property taxes, you should be able to set aside a monthly amount for the same need. Decrease your withholding so that you get a smaller refund, and more money in each paycheck.

That's just our outlook on taxes, and I understand that it's not for everyone.

10. We live a simple lifestyle
Doesn't pay anymore to file a Schedule A.

Had to look up education credits for the technial college class I took, otherwise would have been done sooner.

My dad does people's returns and he'll be busy through April.

I guess biz owners such as yourself are busy getting W-2s out before the end of the month.
