Show some love to my housemate Jen -

Some of you may remember hearing me speak of the girl I've got staying with me. She's 18 and came to stay here after getting out of rehab. She's doing AWESOME and has over 60 days clean.

Late last week she was on her MySpace page and playing with pictures. She asked if the the standard Windows photo program would work to do some changes to a picture, and I told her I didn't think so but that I DO have Photoshop, but couldn't tell her how to use it because it's HARD and I haven't taken the time to learn. I have three books though -- and that was the end of that. She's now a total Photoshop addict! :) When I woke up this morning I found the picture featured below in my email. It's her first real attempt at an art photo, and I think it's amazing for day 4 of her Photoshop career.

I'm bookmarking this thread for her so she can read what you have to say - and I'm going to bed! Give Jen some good DU love, and enjoy!

I like the composition and the choice of images. A really arresting piece of work.

I'll add her as a friend to the station myspace page is she likes, just say the word..

Congrats on your 60 days clean. I'm coming up on my 4 year chip in NA. Things will get better, hang on to your clean time no matter what.

Jen appreciates the feedback! Photoshop has gotten her interested in school and the thought of college for the first time in her life. She's having a blast, and often stays up half the night playing with it. :)

I tried the plunger - which I didn't do immediately because I was stuck on "worst case scenario". That worked! :thumbsup: Thanks for your advice!

As my Dad says: "You can take care of ALL toilet problems yourself. You only need a plumber if the main line is messed up."
