1. There's a little mom and pop appliance store here in town...
...don't know if there's one around you but they sell for about the same price as the big names. My wife went to look at a new washer one day and the gentleman told her he was sick of looking at a certain one he had and would take off $85 and deliver it free if my wife would buy it then so she did.

2. Aw thanks... but argh... I have no car to go looking in.
This is for a new office I'm trying to furnish.

So frustrating!

I wonder if a 14 cu ft fridge will fit in the back of an SUV... hmmmm....

3. They all break down after 2 years.
My opinion is to avoid the big box stores. My Home Depot pushes LG refrigerators, and they have among the worst rating in refrigerators (and just about everything else).

Whirlpool makes an off-brand called "Estate." I've had an Estate refrigerator at my weekend shack for about 5 years, and it only cost me around 500 bucks. Works great, not many bells and whistles.

Shopping for refrigerators is one of the quickest ways to realize how out-of-touch manufacturers are with the real world. Do we REALLY need touch-pad controls for the crisper drawer?

4. Lowe's is blue.
They delivered a stove to me a few years ago and hauled away the old one (for $50.).

Good luck!
