I am so pleased that the car that just drove by my house
had the kindness to loudly share the rap music its occupants were "listening" to.

:eyes:

In 30 years, everyone in the US is going to be deaf.

1. That was right kind of 'em. Around here, we get bikers who want to share
the experience in the summer. God bless 'em.

3. Also when the windows of your car are shut and you can hear
the radio of the car next to you even thought their windows are shut

6. WHAT!
while they said the same thing about our generation KW

I think that we are right, we didn't have speakers in our cars like that back then.

Pretty damned loud as I recall, but it didn't shake the houses it went by.

back in the day.

8. There's a stop sign at our corner
A 'T' intersection in the country. It seems EVERY car that stops there has rap music blasting from it. I can hear it even in the winter time with all the windows closed. Our house isn't near the road either. We are set back behind trees!

10. When I was young...
I loved be loud and obnoxious. It was a blast to get oldsters all agitated. I always knew there was a payback thing. Now, this boom box is really obnox and karma has arrived.

11. What's even worse...
Try being on a bicycle, and a "boom car" drives up next to you.
And the windows are DOWN. :wow:

12. I have an asshole neighbor, TWO houses down and across the street
who, every freaking time she pulls into her driveway, she leaves the car running for at least 5 minutes with the stereo on. The bass is so loud that it vibrates my walls and has awoken me more times than I can count. What a freaking tool. I thought about sending her a postcard. What kind of asshole would do this, EVERY DAY?

14. Is it the snot-nosed teenage girl in daddy's Infiniti, by chance?
If so, you live three doors down and across the street from my house. I'm gonna kill that kid one of these days.

15. That would drive me nuts...
I like my music loud, in my home, in my workshop, but I don't inflict it on other people.

I'm so glad I live in a very quiet neighborhood.

16. I'm sorry you live around inconsiderate people, too.
I have been dealing with my own all day. The people who live upstairs and across the hall had their bass up so loud I could hear it in my bedroom on the other side of the building. I could not get away from it. I called the police and had them come out and they knocked for 20 minutes with no answer. So, I got to listen to the bass for about 12 hours today. It was lovely.

18. Man that stinks!
Between the loud stereos (which are momentary and mostly just a nuisance) and the street racing on the loop behind my house (which is a serious safety issue) there are days that I am at my wits end.

19. I've been at my wits end for awhile.
I told my husband that once he finishes his dissertation defense we are moving. I can't stand it anymore between the un-mitigating bass, crazy people screaming and carrying on at all unspeakable hours, and finally that no one here gives a crap. There have been too many factors for too long that we should move and we have been ignoring them because my husband was finishing up his PhD work. You just can't move under those kinds of stress, especially a heart patient(my husband).
