Cell phone tapping.
I have a friend with a psycho husband. She is pretty certain her home phone is tapped and he has tracking stuff on her computer. Should she be worried about her cell phone? Is it possible for him to tap it?

2. That's the plan.
But she has to get some things in order first. And wants to make sure he doesn't find out.

3. Yes, it's possible. No, it's not easy. But tracking the numbers that she calls or
gets calls from, and when they happened? Now, THAT part is REAL easy.

4. Him... with technical trickery, maybe... the government? Easily...
What if he pays the government?

Unless he's got just cause (which is extremely rare), I'm inclined to agree - he's a psycho nut.

My mental sister in law hired a private detective and got her husbands cell phone bills and she had a gps tracker put on his car.

7. The phone is in his name
and he can see the bills so no secret there but she was somewhat afraid of him being able to hear the conversation. The guy needs medication.

9. How do you check for GPS devices?
And recording devices in the home and car?

10. don't know about the phone but my sister in law had the gps thing
out on by the private detective, it was underneath maybe on the undercarriage. the ironic part is that a few months after she did this he got into a huge accident and he car was going to be up on the lift, i guess the pi removed the thing at the tow yard.

6. Tell her to get one of those pay as you go phones
.Also,Have her have her car checked for gps trackers, like chom just mentioned. Also check for recording devices in home and car.
As for computer tracking something like spybot will take care of that problem.

11. What she needs is a lawyer and a Restraining Order.
Tapping the phone like this is illegal (not that it matters).

Recording conversations is even worse.

With cellphones, it's not tapping, it's snagging.

Document it all. PM me for responsible, productive punishment for the husband, if he's indeed deserving.

I've got a BIG bag of dirty tricks.
