Let me ask you...

What makes that movie funny?

For me the film is rather like watching paint dry, only without the excitement.

I just found it hilarious.

Especially Pedro - the master of dead pan.

And Napoleon's uncle and brother :rofl:

Only good part was the dance.

Especially John Heder as Napolean Dynamite. His voice and mannerisms were hilarious.

Everytime it was on HBO, I had to watch it.

My husband and I recite lines from that movie all the time. The scene where he's working at the chicken farm is hilarious.

There is a guy at work that recites the lines and is hysterical. I found one of these ND pens at Circle K that has recordings of some of the lines. I bought it for him. He plays it when clients are jerks.

I just scored tix to see James Taylor up in SF next month, so I'm totally stoked. He's an all-time fave of mine, since waaaay back. :thumbsup: I even booked a hotel room so the hubby and I can make it into a romantic overnite getaway without the kids! Yeah, baby! :bounce:

The family is good. Shinegirl about to start up another season of softball and eagerly awaiting the day we get another kitten to make up for the recent loss of her sweet kitty, Spark, who was killed by a car a few weeks back.

Shineboy recently discovered our 15 yr old ancient video camera and now fancies himself to be the next Speilberg. Hey, it could happen.

Mr Shine and I are back into cycling again and actively training for an organized century ride (100miles in a day) in about 6 weeks, down in Solvang. It'll be the 25th anniv of the event, with 5,000 riders, should be interesting and challenging. We did it before, back in 2000. Beautiful ride, gorgeous country...But I've got a lot of work to do to get my ass in shape again, though...:D lol.

And for the Century? Go for it! I had a lover once (many years ago) who lives in Moorpark, who told me many times that she wanted to take me to Solvang for a weekend (though we never did it), so I've heard that it's a very nice place.

And I seem to remember that Shineboy needed some advice a little bit ago; it seems he's conquering the dreaded Fifteen pretty well. It can be a tough time for a boy.

Fifteen (1966) was when I lost my "Big Brother" in Viet Nam, and that event changed my life, including being the cause of the pain I suffer. I did have those good days, and am hoping for more.
