Poll question: The Police or Sting?
Edited on Tue Jan-30-07 01:10 PM by Cascadian
As you probably already know, The Police are reuniting and going to do tour sometime after the Grammies. I liked The Police when they started out. They were new and edgy. Just what the music world needed after all the long-winded stale corporate-driven rock or elevator music out there. I liked them up until about "Synchronicity". Then they broke up and then Sting took a more mellow and then more New Agey style. I just could not get into it though his first solo album was okay but I guess he got too mellow as time went on.

So what do you prefer music-wise. The Police or Sting (solo)?

2. Without Stewart Copeland around to kick his ass...
Sting became a lazy bastard who made increasingly more boring music. Yeah he's a progressive voice and he can have tantric sex for 12 hours at a time, but that's not why I buy the records. Actually, I DON'T buy the records.... stopped after the second solo album.

It will be great to see the Police again this summer

3. "Sting, where is thy depth?" I seem to remember this headline in Rolling Stone or Creem magazine
(referring to Sting's post-Police work).

Personally, I prefer the band, but he had a few solo songs that I liked.
