How difficult is it to create a webpage
for purposes of uploading some original songs that could then be downloaded free by whoever visits, preferably without paying ( or at least too much) for professional webdesign and maintenance. My bandmates decided we should do this. Any tips or pointers on how to get started.

1. Fairly easy
You just need to find a web service that allows for moderate bandwidth useage and a decent amount of space.

Mp3 files can be big - and you want people to be able to get them quickly, otherwise they pass on.

Also check out listing yourself at any of the indie mp3 sites - like eMusic.

2. you could set up a music page on myspace
I know tons of bands are on that site and as far as I know it's free and not too difficult to upload songs. I would imagine you could get a lot of exposure that way too
