It's been four years

since the space shuttle Columbia was destroyed over Texas during re-entry, killing all seven astronauts aboard. :cry: I remember that I was on my way to a regional Academic Challenge tournament (yes, I ~~was~~ am a nerd), and I heard about it on the radio and thought, "Oh no, not again!" :( I'm not old enough to actually remember the Challenger disaster (in fact, I wasn't born until about six hours after it happened), but I grew up hearing about it, and it really saddened me that something like that was happening again. RIP, Columbia. O8)

I was watching it on TV and when they announced it was three minutes late, what a sinking feeling. Then later showing the multiple smoke trails in the sky.

I was at Burbank airport flying to San Francisco and saw it on T.V. Seems like less time than that.

Thanks for the reminder.

I remember the challenger also. I was at work in an office and heard it on the radio. Both tragic losses. :cry:
