"Cops do not trust people, period."
Edited on Fri Feb-02-07 11:48 AM by datasuspect
"Number One: Don't put any stickers on your car. Nothing. Supporting law enforcement, belonging to a frat, being a Vietnam vet -- all of these make the fuzz notice you, and your primary mission is to blend in. That means no reckless driving, no overly safe driving. Blend.

Number Two: Add a woman to the mix. Nothing says "stoners" like a carload of sausage.

Number Three: Hide your pot in food. It won't fool the drug dogs (they're too smart for that) but it might confuse the handlers (no comment).

Number Four: Roll in the rain. No one likes to get wet, not even cops."

2. Excellent advice
Thanks. I'll remember that the next time I go rolling. I guess I'd better take my DU, red ribbon, and HRC stickers off my minivan then. Nothing screams stoner like a middle aged soccer mom in a mini van.

oh and :hi: Where you been Master?

6. We got a van that had a support your sheriff sticker on it.
I took all my other stickers off my car some time ago. I even told this person I know that the reason she might be getting pulled over was because of her sticker in Farsi that was on her car. Now I think I'm right.

7. yeah, "blend in"
hover between 5 - 10 miles over the limit.

i'm a veteran of pscyhedelic wars and swore at one time that cruise control was my best friend, but i'm thinking speed fluctuation looks better on radar detectors.

11. This sticker was already on it when we got the van for free.
It's ugly and falling apart and we hardly ever drive it.

8. I do the speed limit on the highway if it's 65 these days
It seems to be a natural comfort zone for my car, and I'm rarely in much of a hurry. I'll break the limit if it's 55, however.

The best advice posted was a few weeks ago: Never break 2 laws at the same time. In other words, check your damn brake and headlights
