I have had a good day today

After months of caring for my brother (who has a particularly nasty type of brain cancer), I am back home for a time because he is currently stabilized.

I blew the motors in two of my cars traveling back and forth over the past few months.
One car is currently, apparently only running on three out of four cylinders, and no one can figure out why.
One car burned out an alternator, and it was almost impossible for me to find a replacement due to the age of the car, and the lack of interest by others in owning this car.

After all these months, I found an alternator for the remaining car, put it in, and it works.

I also heard from my supervisor at work, and they want me to begin a new position next week that will lead to, by May, a supervisory position in that department.

A damn good day, my friends. A damn good day.

Anything good happen to you today? Does it have something to do with the cycle of the moon or something?

I can't just pick one to respond to, but please know that I appreciate your good thoughts and wishes. It's been a long strange trip these past few months. I think I lost my tenuous grip on sanity periodically, but am back home, and good things are already happening.
