I bought a toaster/convection oven last night...
This little model:

I decided it wasn't economical to heat up the kitchen with the real oven -- and the thermostat on it is flaky anyway. (It probably isn't worth repairing and I don't use it enough to miss it.) The reviews on this model were good so here we go.

The directions weren't helpful and how to adjust from conventional to convection bake times. Any ideas?

1. We have table top convection oven, I love it.
It gets to hot in the summer to use the regular oven, and the food is better.

2. How does it affect cooking times?

3. Ours cooks faster, a lot faster.
We can cook a large chicken, I am talking about 7 lb chicken in about 1 hour.

Every oven will be different but cooking time is really fast.

4. Thanks.
Guess I'll just have to play with it.

One of my favorite Trader Joe's treats is a peach streudel that needs to bake about 35 minutes. I'll keep a close eye on it and see how long it takes for this kind of thing. A lot of frozen foods need to be baked. I'm not much of a cook on my own.
