5. I'm sorry, Shine
I'm finally starting to feel better. Hot tea, a warm blanket and I actually found that good ol' Vick's VapoRub helped a bit. Get better soon.

9. I thought of you the other day when I was at Longs.
I was picking up my prescription cough medicine and saw the Mucinex things you'd mentioned. I didnt' get them, but thought of you. I got TheraFlu packets to mix in with hot water. I've been pumpin' the fluids, and taking the cough syrup to help me sleep, but I'm still feeling like shit. I'm on Day 5 and I'm exhausted. Having a low grade fever for this long is hard. :( The good news is I tested negative for strep throat at the doc's on Friday, thank god.

I need all the healing and light I can get! I do not handle being sick very gracefully, unfortunately. :(

14. Me either. I don't handle pain well. I hope that everyone's taking really good care of you the...
way you always do for them when you're well.

thanks, sweetie. Yeah, my hubby and kids have been great. You're right, I'm always the caretaker, so it's nice to be taken care of, for a change.

13. I feel for you - I've been that way for the past three weeks
I think I'm finally getting over it, though. It's a nasty bug that's been going all around - I think it's a nasty sinus infection that borders on bronchitis. I had to use an inhaler a couple of times just to cut down on the wheezing so I could sleep.

16. Yikes!! Three weeks?!
somebody else told me that they'd had it for 3 wks, too. Screw that. OMG.

I'm supposed to be in training for an organized century bike ride (100 mi. in day) in 5 wks from today. I'm waaay behind schedule. :(

17. That was me
:hi:

I didn't have the whole full-blown fever and aches thing for 3 weeks though - cough and sore throat and chest congestion for about 2 1/2 weeks and then fever and aches for about 3 days.

Sounds like you charged straight into the good stuff so maybe you won't get the lingering crap. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you (though it makes it hard to type that way). :pals:

21. Yes! I had the same thing... 3 weeks exactly.
Started in my head and settled in my chest. I'm finally shaking it.

Hope you feel better sooner than that!

18. I have had the same mess for about 1 week
Edited on Sun Feb-04-07 07:16 PM by carly denise pt deux
for the past 4 days, every evening around 6 pm I start the low-grade fever and body aches and it lasts all night...during the day it's not too bad, I am so worn down right now and hurting from coughing, I am patiently waiting for the end of this bug

22. I'm sorry, Shine

I'm sending you lots of healing vibes. :grouphug:

I've managed to fight it off - but it keeps trying to take a hold of me every so often.

Stewed ginger tea helps me (adding a dash of cayenne is good, too, plus honey of course). That, and lots of vitamin C.

If you can ever find this, it works wonders for me and most I know: http://www.cold-fx.com/

Get well soon! :loveya:

24. Nice to meet you, Sickand Phlegmy. I'm Haleandover Weight!
Take the advice of the immortal divine presence that is Lewis Black and chug a bottle of Ny-Quil. You make wake up three days later and married to someone you've never met before, but, dammit!, you'll be able to breathe again!
