LOCKED IN THE MINNEAPOLIS SKYWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For serious! Myself and a friend were running through it to catch a bus and stay warm and as we crossed 4th street south, the doors LOCKED, stranding us INSIDE the skyway over 4th street.

It took the Minneapolis Cops 2 hours to get us out, but I am now home and warm, thank god. I did get to see the 4th quarter of the game while having dinner after getting out.

What a day for me, I never have a day this exciting.

2. OMG, in all the years I lived in Minneapolis, that NEVAH happened to me.
And I worked downtown for many years.

3. I love the Skyway. I don't know why.
For a long time in my youth, I didn't realize that every city didn't have them!

5. I knew every city did not have them
Because I moved to the Twin Cities when I was 5. But I also love the skyways.

We do have one here...at South Coast Plaza (a shopping mall) of all places.

7. For those that dont know
In Minneapolis downtown, all the buildings are connected by a skyway, basically an enclosed walkway above street level so you can get around without going outside. I got locked in the part crossing a street, and it was not warm after 2 hours with no heat.

8. Anyone else have anything interesting happen to them yesterday?
I want to know if it was just me, or if something else caused me and others to miss most of the superbowl as well.

9. I had "The Green Mile" on the TV
which I've seen many times before, so I fell asleep.
