Who's a fan of Warren Zevon?
I love the guys music. Seriously, I like pirated all his songs. Actually, I own a few of his CDs...

He's one of the few song writers who actually wrote interesting music... I wish there were more writers like him... Does anyone know of anyone similar? With the same style, wit and whatnot?

6. Absolutely! Someone on the board sent my wife 3 DVDs packed...
with EVERY TV appearance that Zevon had ever made. Hours and hours and hours of great stuff.

3. Big fan of Warren Zevon!!
Saw him at Hammerjacks in Baltimore in '89. Great show. I love "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" and "Bad Karma". Taken from us much too soon.

5. Never listened to too much Zevon . .
But I know my Dad loved him . . and last time I visited him for Christmas he sang some Zevon for me . . sounded good coming from him.

He always told me he liked just about anything wrote by Zevon . .

For the record though... Dylan was my Dad's #1.

10. My step-father listens to him...
So I grew up listening to werewolves of london and Roland The Thompson Gunner... When I was younger I didn't understand what the hell he was singing about, but now I get a kick listening to the lyrics.

9. Never listened to Zevon. But I have heard his name thrown around a lot.
I'll have to check his stuff out. Cant be too bad since he's always listed next to Frank Zappa in every music store I've ever been in.

12. Came late to the party
But his songs were always around and on my personal soundtrack. It was a real shock when he died.

I've got his last album. I only wish I could have told him how much I loved his music.

13. He was a unique talent...

...no one else quite like him.

You might want to check out Richard Thompson. Dark, over the top writing, twisted humor and brilliant guitar playing. And...a career that spans five decades.
