I voted for Lieberman. Twice. In one year. I need forgiveness.

I'm watching Solo Joe on the Colbert Report (I taped it) and seeing him talking again...

Ugh.

I my defense, I wasn't political then. I voted for him for Senator and for Veep (I lived in Connecticut at the time).

I need absolution or something. Maybe a hug.

Joementum has bad effects on liberals. I wish Lieberman would just up and leave the Democratic Party and start his own party or something. (Oh, where oh where is a sardonic smiley when you need one.)

As life-long CT resident, he once drove me to vote for a Republican (albeit, a moderate*) just in an attempt to get rid of him from my political life. He also made me break a promise made to a dying family member (to NEVER vote for him.) just by being on the ticket with Gore.

It's all relatively meaningless anyways. He'll never get another Democratic nomination. He's blown any chance he has at a higher office and the next time he runs in 2012, I suspect the GOP nominee for his seat will be Gov. Rell, meaning that he won't have the GOP base to prop his % up by 15-20%.

Join "CT for Lieberman" like I did, Joe's not a member and when the party bearing his name endorses the Democrat running against him, it's going to be riotously funny.
