Ahh, wintertime in Connecticut!
At around 5:30 this afternoon, a snow squall hit the Greater Hartford area. No big deal; it was gone in about 15 minutes and left maybe a quarter-inch of the white stuff behind.

At the same time, however, it also managed to turn every asphalt surface in the county into one big hockey rink! Interstates 84 and 91 were little more than parking lots, and the back roads weren't a whole lot better.

With all the fender-benders I witnessed during my last delivery run tonight (and on the subsequent drive home from work), I'm just glad to be home in one piece, and still able to annoy the living fuck out of right-wing scumwads! :evilgrin:

1. Happened here in Mass too
one minute clear and beautiful sunset.

Then whiteout and 1/2" snow on the ground. Weird.

2. Greetings to New England
Now I understand why my ancestors moved West after the Revolution! :}

It's cold enough to freeze water pipes here in Arkansas. If we ever have snow, we're done for, as they don't understand snow/ice removal here, and it is quite hilly.

Glad you made it home all right!

3. I was driving in the midst of it
It was barely doing anything when I left for a "quick trip to the store" and found myself caught in a mess I could hardly see in. I just took it slow and no problems, but some poor dude in front of me was swerving all over the past at one point. :scared:

7. sounds good to me.
I ALWAYS get lost everytime i go to Hartford though (except the time I went to the Meadows to a concert last summer.) I had a helluva time finding Webster Theater with mapquest directions!

11. I think we were looking at 2:00
It sounded like you might have had a little more flexibility and I'm sure we'll all be there for awhile anyway if you can't make it right away.
When I was in Cambridge in November, 3 hours just flew by.

Very Cool!

After 5 inches of snow that froze.
