Say what you want about Eddie Murphy and his new movie,
but he can play multiple characters great. Even in Coming to America, he was good at that. And he is damn funny. I think he has grown up a lot since his Delirious days obviously. But there were some damn funny parts in that too!

1. I wish he would stop the whole multiple character thing.
I think it's cheap comedy based on nothing but sight gags. It was funny in Coming to America and The Nutty Professor, but after about 6 movies of it it's time to try something new.

He's a funny guy, he should do real comedy.

2. I agree with that actually.

He showed us that he can do that and now he can move on. Maybe with Dream Girls he will be able to.

I am watching Coming to America right now which is why I brought it up. He did a really good job with his characters in that!

4. It can be funny when it's PART of a good movie- not when it's the BASIS for one.
I agree- he's capable of much more.

6. More fart jokes, eh? By now FOX comedies have eclipsed him...
I think he needs to reinvent himself...

7. Helloooo? Dream Girls is that for him.
He hasn't done anything like that before. And this Delbert or whatever it is, I have read that he isn't happy with it. He and his brother wrote it before his Dream Girls gig.

11. Awful
It's a thoughtless, cancerous, viral, irresponsible pollution whose existence speaks ill of the society that produced it and of any society that would endorse or defend it.

And I know that the Norbert movie(or whatever it is called) is probably just trying to ride on his success in Dream Girls. But still, Eddie Murphy is talented. Maybe not creative enough to write a movie (he and his brother wrote Norbert), but you get the gist!!

:)
