9. wow, federal prison, now that's impressive...
when i moved in with hubby he balled up my x and tagged him with a train of offenses; he was only in state for 9 months and has to wear a bracelet for another year but federal sheesh

what did he do?

12. I got a resume sent to me from a federal prison once.
Thing was...this guy actually had decent credentials for the job. If he hadn't been in prison, I would have called him for an interview...(why he sent me a resume when he'd be incarcerated for another couple of years and didn't seem to have work-release privileges is a mystery...)

16. One time my father....
Had this guy come into the office for an interview... it went well. My Dad basically was ready to hire the guy... he was positive THIS was the man for the job.
So he says, "Hang on.. I just wanna check your references." So, Dad calls up his last place of employement and says, "I've got so and so here for a job interview and I wanna know what he was like to work with."
The response on the other end of the phone was, "He's not THERE right now is he?" In an alarmed tone. Turns out at his last job he went berserk and assaulted the entire office.

22. My dad once got a letter from a guy in jail asking if he could enter the drug & ...
...alcohol rehab program my father worked in at the time, as a supervisor, so he could get out of jail early. My dad told me that he would have let the guy except for one thing. He addressed the letter to Dennis Overeater, which is most definitely not my dad's last name. The "over" part is right, but that's it. So my dad wrote him back that next time he's asking for a big favor like that, make sure you get the name right!
