This isn't Fracking SNOW!
Well if it is it is Heartattack Snow.

This stuff falling out of the sky around Boston is like shoveling Lead weights.

Man this sux!

I just went out and shoveled the walks and 1/3 of the drive. I'm beat already! And it's not stopped yet... :scared:

4. OT: Ah, a BSG fan
Did you go to the thread in the entertainment forum. Some posted to a link to a gag reel from season that's really funny. But be careful, there's an alleged spoiler in there, but I don't know if I buy it.

5. Ours is of the light and fluffy variety
If it wasn't so fucking cold (12degrees), I could probably blow it out of the driveway with a few deep breaths.

10. Thank you for saying it
I thought I was just getting wimpy in my old age. This stuff is miserable! (And my poor old dog can barely manage getting around in it. :( )

16. LOL - believe it and admire you for it. :)
I usually "stomp" out a trail around the yard for him to follow.

I really felt like I was "battling the elements" taking the old guy out for a walk today. He went to relieve himself in a lowland/swampy area. Well, he's old (almost 13) and still pretty big (94 lbs) and his legs are starting to abandon him.

So he's in this "swamp" and is having a really hard time staying upright and moving - keeps sinking in the snow which is too heavy for him to trudge through. So there I am, trudging myself into the swamp in the snow/ice to lift the 94 lb dog back up the hill...

I keep sinking into the swamp, we're both falling in the snow, the wind is whipping, I've got snow in my gloves... Anyone watching must have had a good laugh. But I'm not sure which of us was breathing harder by then end of it (ok, pretty sure it was me.)

(Oh no, he's up from his nap again - time for another adventure I suspect. Wish me luck!)

11. Sorry,
I hope all the Duers in the storm pull through all right. I was part of the huge ice storm that hit the midwest in mid Jan, and it was...an experience. Stay safe....

15. Yep,
we were without power/running water for over 8 days...:) My first ice storm, was up in Kansas, back in...hmm, late 02, or early 03. It was a sight, I never thought rain/ice could be so devastating.
