The new and supposedly improved Daylight Savings Time...
Is your computer ready?

If you use Windows XP before SP2, you may be sunk. Ditto if you use Win9x or 2000 Pro...

1. Can you just reset the time manually?
Or declare yourself in a different time zone for the few extra weeks?

2. The time zone editor will bypass that problem for 2k
and they do offer a fix with the extended support package, which will only help businesses.
9x isn't supported anymore, 2k is. They can't leave it. People would be more outraged than they were over AoE

5. Msft support center on this is here:
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst

Leave it to a Republican Congress and President to enact the Energy Policy Act of 2005 which included this Daylight Savings Time idiocy that will cost businesses billions.

7. There was a huge conniption about it at work on Monday
which resulted in having to build, QA and launch a 10-page website about it in about a day and a half. Evidently, the IT guys are getting caught with their britches down. :P

All the home machines are ready. 2 PCs, 3 Macs, no sweat. :)
