Lounge vibes = very likely real

Bill Hicks was ahead of all these people when he said "Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration … that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather." Of course, it's a bit about what he'd like to hear, just once, on the news.

( It's a movie about experiments done with quantum mechanics, even things like bottles of water drops with different words taped over them overnight in freezing conditions. When viewed under a microscope after freezing, the bottle with no label had very plain crystals, the one a Zen Buddhist meditated to had a wonderful crystal, the one with Love taped on the side also a lovely crystal sequence, the one with "You make me sick and I'm going to kill you" had a nasty ugly crystal.

I once slammed Deepak Chopra because of his medical theories which included quantum mechanics, but I take it back.

1. Deepak Chopra is a fucking fake and a gonad to boot. Real asshole, IMO.
And the water experiments that the movie mentions are crap, and soundly debunked. Do a google search on that stuff.

But, apart from the bad water non-science, and the stupid woman who thinks she's some kind of reincarnation of a 20,000 year old goddess or whatever the hell it is she thinks she is, and some other lackluster science, "what the bleep" DOES have some moments of truly mind-blowing science about the sheer incredibleness and far-outness of the universe. Studying quantum mechanics in college was a mysitcal experience for me, much more than just a scientific experience.

I love that movie! I just wish the directors had cut out the crap, because the actual science is itself mind-numbingly amazing enough to stand on its own without trying to reinforce it with bullshit.

The universe is a place bizarre and wondrous, and we have discovered and experienced but only the barest spec of a percent of what is out there.
