An army recruiter got my e-mail address
I just got an e-mail from Sargent whoever inviting me to come in for an interview. "Career opportunity" is what he called it. I'm 48 years old and was honorably discharged from that same army 24 years ago when sgt. recruiter was probably still in diapers.
I believe bush is trying to start another war with Iran, but he can't be this desperate for soldiers.

5. Sign him up for some progressive sites
The Nation. PFAW. ACLU. Common Cause.
And then get him on the phone and tell him you're interested. Keep him chatting. Mess with his head. Waste his time.

6. Well you could say your interested and ask him to send you a shirt and stuff like that
Then get him to take you out for lunch they do that too so then you can ask him over the burger why he is wasting his time with you when you were drilling back when he was not even a twinkle in his daddy's eye!

Maximum entry age has been raised to 43 yrs old or did they go even higher now with Iran on the near horizon?

I couldn't wait to get out of the Army.

If they need me things are really going bad.

Sorry, I would never go back in.

They can go draft some young republicans.

10. someone probably gave this guy my e-mail address as
a joke on me. But it's still a valid question, if rodeo clown starts a war in Iran, who's he going to get to fight in it? Aren't the soldiers in Iraq on their third and fourth tours now?

11. There are lot of people in the IRR.
It would take some time to retrain them.

If Bush goes into Iran a lot of ex military people will get call up letters, a draft isn't something Bush wants.

I will leave the country before I would ever go back into the military.

Something to think about.

13. They have no sense of right or wrong they called a guy back after he was out for four years
and what would have been his 11th year since initial entry he was out of his IRR but that did not stop them from getting him back in a uniform! That happened back in 2004! Now if they come a calling for me I will use my health as a dis-qualifier turns out my pinched sciatica nerve is from a back injury in the disaster tour I got my avatar from Hurricane Iniki! I have twenty active ten active retired and two years of inactive retired so I have to wonder also how far will they go

14. They will try to call up everybody they can, age or health wouldn't stop them.
Look at what they are doing to our people in Iraq.

I know of 4 people who should have be discharged due to medical reasons who can't get out.

All the White House whats is cannonfodder anyway.

I have my exit planned if I need to go.

This is something everybody needs to think about now.

The chance of coming back from Iran is not good.

Bush does not want a up front draft, so a backdoor draft will happen.

15. My coworker got called at work. On his cell phone. By a recruiter.
Multiple times.
HIS DAMN CELL PHONE.
Needless to say, he was nonplussed.
"What part of 'I'm at work!' don't you understand???"

16. The recruiters are under a lot pressure to sign anybody up.
I was at the mall and there were a group of teenagers in the food court area and the Army recruiter was after them.

He would not take no for an answer either, the kids told him to fuck off.

I was very proud of them.

We want you to join the army so you can be meat shields. We want to fill a body bag with your corpse. How old are ya? 18? Great. You're just old enough to become a corpse for Uncle Sam!

19. I think they have to meet a certain number every month.
A lot of the people that sign up never complete bootcamp, for various reasons.

The kid down street was turned down many times for various reasons.

A few months ago he tried again but this time he passed.

He didn't make it a month in bootcamp, now he is back home.

I knew he wouldn't make it.

21. Same here.
Iran will be a real bad, and they will need troops on the ground.

I know several people in the medical field who have had visits from the military, yes something is coming.

They need skilled people fast.

My eyes should keep me out, but you never know.

23. You never know...
I just can't imagine...it's all too much. Why is this happening? I thought when we won the elections in November, we could stop him.
Why aren't they stopping him? Why aren't they doing something? Are they all cowards?
I swear, if they don't stop him, not one of them will get my vote in 08. Not a goddamn one. They're all so concerned about being president next, that they don't seem overly concerned in diverting us off our present course.
I feel so hopeless...
I just want to know...where is there hope?

26. I was so hoping if we won the election things would get better.
I don't understand why some of our Democrats are cowards, we control Congress.

We are heading down a cliff, gaining speed fast.

Iran will be the end of America as we know it.

I hope I am wrong, but Bush is crazy.

He as said he will do anything he wants, and nobody can stop him.

We can but not with this sorry bunch of Democrats.

Our people are killing and are being killed so Bush and his friends can make money.

I am just disgusted.

Chances are their not doing research on you individually and send you a personal offer. They probauly compiled a list of a couple dozen thousand names and sent out a mass email hoping they'd get a few bites.
