What's with the plague of Russians?

I'm cleaning up my bulletin board in preparation for a new class, and I've just had to delete a dozen people with *@mail.ru email addresses. What is that about? :wtf:

Fortunately, I added privacy to the bb a while ago, so none of my students would be harrassed by idiots. I just have no idea how they (the idiots) even find the bb.

Weird.

1. i get those all the time at my site, usually it's for a few weeks at a time

then it stops for a month or so and then it starts up again.

2. The thing that bakes my noodle is, I don't get that much traffic

So finding my site is one thing - finding the bb is another altogether.

I added privacy to the board (phpBB) because a bunch of idiots started signing up from, er, rude sites, and I didn't want my students to be inundated with pr0n. It adds a step to the registration process, but it's worth it.
