I'm ready to be flamed, but I dig Britney's new look
Speaking as someone who has shaved his own head once before, I understand the feeling that drives one to impulsively shave their head. It can provide a great relief if you feel that you are overwhelmed by stresses and other anxiety. Once you have shaved your head clean the breeze that blows on the back of your head is almost orgasmic for the first few days. You really do feel like a new or different person. It might not always be a cry for help as some have claimed, but it is something that you can do to, if for only that few minutes, to feel that you are in control of your own life. Many different tribes and followers of various spiritual beliefs find that shaving your own head is a great way to cleanse the spirit, "start fresh", and take control of your life.

1. I agree with you. I also think that for someone trying to restart a career
she seems to be fairly successful at getting her name in print for doing, well, nothing much.

It also doesn't surprise me. Didn't she just cut and dye her hair dark? I think she's just starting over.

Besides, now there'll be more flashbulbs for her than for Paris Hilton when they're together. That'll burn Paris' ass.

2. I agree.
(thanks for the info yesterday too)

I think it took serious guts. Either she went all Anne Heche or she was ready for something different. I think she is different from those other girls that grew up millionaires. I bet in five years she will have gotten through all this and will be fine.

3. I'd still put it to her.
And by "it" I mean hug and kisses.

4. No flame here
That girl is pretty even bald. I am a hopeless pop diva fanatic and I think Brit gets a little too hard of a time in the media.

Its not her fault her 15 minutes is up - I just wish she would take it more gracefully :(

Either way - a punk-rock new look is fine by me :)

6. I'd do it in a heartbeat..
if I thought I could pull it off.

I just don't have the face for it. I think this is the best Brit's looked in years, honestly.

7. I think she looks better.
Of course, I'm the kind of guy who would take a tattooed, pierced rollerderby kind of girl over a Barbie in a heartbeat.

11. Maybe it's just an unfortunate camera angle, but...
...when I look at that picture, I hear the sound of duelling banjos in my head.

12. bald , tattooed women are common in the circles I move in.
I was amused at all the prissy tittering going on over it. I don't see why bald women with tattoos should have their children taken away like some were suggesting here earlier. :eyes:

14. It's actually flattering.
Her neck doesn't look as thick as her head anymore. (although it is) The focus is on her elf ears.

16. You appear flame retardant
Her new look is beautiful. And as someone who has shaved off their eyebrows before, you get no arguments from me.

17. I like it too!
She has a really pretty head.

I've shaved my head bald MANY times. I am currently trying to grow my hair long, which means I'll get fed up with it in the next 12-18 months and shave it again (I seem to do this every 3-5 years). And I have LOTS of tattoos!

You go Brit!

I think a lot of women are dead gorgeous with shaved heads. And she has the face for it!

I always feel great after chopping off my hair. :D

20. She can shave her head, or have hair down to her knees, but no matter what,
she'll still be talentless and stupid.
