Our new puppy! ===> PICTURES
So Mrs. 2kewl and I tried to get a lab from the shelter last week but he was adopted before we got there. So we got Ernie from a breeder yesterday afternoon instead. He is the sweetest little guy around!

I don't think the grown dogs are especially cute, but the puppies are adorable.

4. The grown ones are great companions though.
I wouldn't choose any other breed. I had a great yellow lab as a kid.

Not only is he going to be handsome adult, but I think he is going to be a big one too. His dad is 105 lbs. As for the collar, he hasn't actually adjusted it to it completely yet. He keeps scratching it. :)

One of the best friends I ever had was a lab/shepherd mix. Labs are wonderful, and he looks like a member of the family already. I love the coordinating carpet! We furnish our house in animal- and kid-friendly colors; it just makes life easier.

32. i prefer yellow labs, so he fits perfect with the decor
the first pup my wife fell for was chocolate. that one was $1500 though so i adjusted her s as a teen was a yellow lab, expectations :D

one of my best pal so when the time was right for us to have a dog, he was going to be a yellow lab

14. Ernie looks so happy!
Thanks for sharing your pictures of him. I lost one of my wonderful kitties last week. Since then, I've been picking up my three other cats and petting them so much, there's fur all over the place. And I've been looking up kitten and puppy pictures on the net. Please keep us up to date as Ernie grows. Isn't it exciting to have a new little guy in the house?

27. sorry to hear about your kitty
we lost both of our kitty boys last year and miss them very much. this is my first dog as an adult. i'm finally settled enough to have one. the new cat will come sometime after the new human that's due in july :D

CONGRATULATIONS!

Our yellow Lab was the best critter that ever lived and we miss her every day. She passed 24 yrs. ago and I often still weep over her.

We're now growing old with our Border Collie fruitcake, but she'll never replace our Lab.

Keep making the pics of your beautiful boy and post 'em. I'll view with envy. :)

nothing beats a lab! but border collies are cool too. my cousin had one. she was always trying to herd the kids :P

i knew one once. she was a pistol. she'd play fetch all day. i'd throw the ball off the end of the pi`=-.... oops! Ernie started to pee mid post! i picked him up, turned him belly up and he stopped! i carried him outside and he finished! i call that progress.

anyway... i'd throw the ball off the end of the pier and the Boston terrier (her name escapes me now) would run full speed off the pier and dive in after the ball. she was a trip.

Oh, they are so sweet at that age. The good news is, they get better with age (says the owner of a 13 year old Lab). :)

Your little one is adorable - take LOTS of pics - he'll be grown up before you know it. (OK, so it's a Lab, which means he'll LOOK grown up before you know but you'll be waiting about 8 years for him to actually do so!)

i'm not so sure about that. he already walked off the side of my dock ramp and nearly fell into the freezing canal. Luckily i had a good grip on the leash and was able to lower him onto the dock.

once on the dock he loved it. stuck his face right into the water. :D
