I've always rooted for the predator, ever since I was a little kid.

5. Yeah, especially the cats.

I always feel bad when the lions' and cheetahs' prey gets away and the little cubs go hungry. I should feel sorrier for the wildebeests and antelopes, too, and I do when they actually get caught; but I generally find myself rooting for the cats.

As much as we'd like to think of ourselves as highly evolved, we're still not that far removed from our predatory past. Fortunately, we can find non-violent ways to express it. Want to see a predator? Just watch my wife when she sees a yard sale sign! ;)
