I'm not really a fan of them I'm just curious for the folks who were around when they were popular if these kajillionaires always kept quiet or never had any thoughts about the issues.

1. Hagar did that flag-waving, militaristic song when he was solo
Can't recall the name of it, which is probably a good thing. :puke:

3. Probably "VOA"
Definitely a Reaganite anthem, if you ask me:

2. I never heard anything.
I wouldn't be surprised if David Lee Roth was a Repub, though. He doesn't seem like he's the sharpest tool in the shed ... I'm just speculating, though.

5. One of David Lee Roth's brilliant quotes concerning their reunion:
"I see it absolutely as an inevitability," Roth told Billboard.com last May of a potential reunion with his ex-bandmates. "To me, it's not rocket surgery. It's very simple to put together.

8. DLR was 'dare I say it' very articulate on his radio show, I'm going to give
him the benefit of the doubt on 'rocket surgery' and assume it was foot in cheek :-)

4. Ugh, Hagar is a repuglican
A bit of research shows that he contributed to the W campaign in 2004 and other repug politicians -- even wearing an "hasta la vista Davis" T shirt at a concert. Odd considering that he and his first wife were on welfare before he joined Montrose. You'd think he'd be a little more compassionate, eh? But I guess he got his money so fuck anyone else who needs a hand. His current wife is a fundy. I feel sort of queasy, :puke: like I ought to throw out all my VH CDs. Damn and I was a big VH-head

9. Background on welfare
but, currently a Republic. That makes him perfect material for a RW talk show in the future.

10. I have never owned any Van Hagar albums.
Edited on Fri Feb-23-07 11:36 AM by Left Is Write
I have the first six albums. :)

I have no idea about David Lee Roth's politics, but I do agree that he's fried a few too many brain cells in the last 30 years.

11. Hagar also goes on MTV Cribs and rides around on his ATVs at his Cabo mansion
A repub who actually goes the extra ironic step of setting up his castle in Mexico.

12. If DLR ever did, it was probably lost amidst the annoying "bosey bops"
And Sammy...he just sucks.
