Seriously though, I had to put on a new roof. My old roof was so damaged that every single panel had to be replaced.

Anyway that started Wednesday morning. At about 2pm they knocked my dish satellite off and I STILL do not have any TV., (it's Friday morning) That's almost 2 days now and I am pissed. I am waiting for the Direct TV guy to get here since the roof people could not fix the problem and I had to wait from Wednesday to Friday to get someone out here.

I admit I can be a real TV junkie and American Idol is one of my favorite shows and I missed both shows this week and Criminal minds....etc. I could not even tape them since I had no signal.

And they act like it is no big deal. I want to hit someone.

I hope the roofers plan on paying the direct tv people for the repairs.

your local signal? I know it's not the best, but at least it's something and you might be able to get the local stations.

I'd be pissed too, though. I don't watch a lot of teevee, but when I want to, I want to. Comcast did some work in my neighborhood a week ago...and I lost my cable from Thursday through Sunday. It came back early Monday morning...but then was intermittent for the next day or two.

Comcast ain't starting out so good...

Get a cheap set of rabbit ears at Radio Shack or K-mart or something and go to it.

I purchased a new hdtv dish with Tivo in January. I did it all online and scheduled an appointment for installation. The install date was confirmed in an e-mail I got as my receipt. The day before the install I checked online to confirm the time and it said my installation was "unscheduled". I called and they said I hadn't scheduled a date. I asked them why I would pay 300 dollars for equipment and not set up an installation. I had to get at the end of the line and wait another month. It really pisses me off.

In ab out 2 minutes. So now as I type I have my familiar news/people talking in the back-round to make me feel safe.
