How the hell do I determine what their value is?

The label on the booklet says "Twenty First-Class Self-adhesive Stamps," but that's it.

1. when did you buy the stamps?
I would imagine if it were recently, they'd still be good to use

2. Not sure--I found them in my desk here at work
Could have been two weeks ago, could have been seven years.

Wait--strike that. The booklet itself says © 2005 USPS, but each stamp shows 2006 in small print along the bottom border.

5. I'm trying to remember when it went up to 39 cents...
I'm also trying to remember if I ever saw a stamp with no price on it. hmmmm that's interesting

3. I hate that!
I just had a bunch the other day like that. They had 2006 printed on them so I figured they must be pretty current. Do they have a loon on them?

They shouldn't print them up ahead of time if they don't know the denomination. Or else they should continue to accept them no matter if the rate has gone up or not.

6. No loon. I should have mentioned this
The "title" of the booklet is "Lady Liberty and U.S. Flag," but outside of that, the aforementioned text, and the UPC number, there's nothing else printed on the stamps or booklet.

4. Are they maybe labeled as series A or series B?
They sound like the stamps printed up ahead of time when a postal increase is coming but no one knows what the final number will be.
