ok, this shit with getting to a real person when calling credit card customer support...
...needs to stop right now.

I'm freaking out about a payment process, and it's taken me over 45 minutes to get on hold to talk to someone.

I hate this shit so much I could spit.

It's a database showing what to press to skip over all that horrible automated shit for nearly any company you could think of. It's saved me a lot of grief.

2. I did a lot of phone work as an Inside salesman and learned
to never push a button. When the phone is answered, push nothing. The system assumes you are still using an old rotary phone and will connect you with a real body about 90% of the time. Stick to it, push nothing. Eventually you will be transferred to Customer Service. Don't even tell the person you connect with that you have a button option. Somehow there is always a person available. You may be on hold for a few minutes in the queue but it beats being in menu hell.

6. menu hell seems to be getting worse
because I call and they clearly want the automated system to answer your questions - give you a balance or a due date or mail a statement, but the worst part of it, except for always having to hear Spanish, is when they make you speak responses instead of pushing a button. Don't make me talk to a motherfu$%ing machine, tanj it all!!

11. I HATE that!
because half the time the machine doesn't understand my speech and I find myself SCREAMING in the phone, "My credit card number is eight-six-five-one, MOTHERF#&($r!!!"

8. I was on hold for almost an hour with Time Warner Cable last night
trying to figure out why my OnDemand movie wasn't working. I reset the box three times and even sent a few emails to them. I was so frustrated I just hung up the phone.

I must have heard "Thank you for your patience. Your call is important to us and we value you blah blah blah..." :banghead:
