Egads; Hollywood celebrates itself...again
I can already hear my neighbors cackling like hyenas at whatever BS jokes are being flung about. Worst part is, all of the other stations schedule "special" programming--i.e., movies that they've already broadast three or four times--instead of their usual programming, in order to "compete" with the Oscars. Am I the only one who harbors fantasies about heading to the Kodak Theater with a grenade launcher?

5. Yeah, probably
But that's fairly down the list of things that I need. First off, can anyone tell me where I can get a friggin' grenade launcher on a Sunday night?

7. yeah, well
I already made it known that I was only "harboring fantasies," not forming intent. I guess David Geffen could sic the Department of Homeland Security on me, and they could find a distinct lack of weaponry in my possession.

2. "heading to the Kodak Theater with a grenade launcher?"

Hmmmm. I'd say just switch off the TV and put on some relaxing music instead.

4. Oh, believe me, the TV's off
But the effect is still there; I can hear my neighbors cheering this crap on. Kinda like when I walk through my neighborhood and hear them cheering for their favorite American Idol contestant, I have to ask myself, "Why?" Living in the Entertainment Capital of the World (TM), I am used to the show-biz crew being overpaid, underworked, and waaaaaaaaaay overmedicated, but do they have to give themselves little trophies for being so? Christ, how much validation do they need?
