Best potato chips on the planet?
Better Made from Detroit. Actually one of their flavored chips just won an award. But their regular chips totally rock.

I first learned to love them in Oregon.

When I was scouting out the move to Minnesota, I went into the food co-op in the neighborhood that I was looking at, and lo and behold, they had Kettle Chips! (As well as Nancy's Yogurt, Supernatural Granola, and other Favorite Things.) Yup, I thought, I can live here.

11. lol but Freeper-types hate pringles - they say they're communist -
a bright red container, all the chips made exactly the same, and that's Joe Stalin there with the mustache!

No seriously, I would say Pringles original. They came out in the late 70s. At the time, they were a revelation, they tasted like the future, and the future tasted good. They still aren't that bad, even in this world of purple rainforest-tuber chips and what have you, all in dozens of choices (hot ranch wasabi, sourcream and cilantro, etc. etc.)

33. Zapp's HOTTER 'N HOT JALAPENO
- If you're a jalapeno heat freak, ours is 4 alarm. Our jalapeno has a great heat level with a "full bodied" jalapeno flavor. My friend, Brent, ate 6 bags one night and swore he was having a heart attack. A quick trip to the emergency room and the $800 E.K.G. bill later determined it was semi-terminal indigestion and jalapeno overload.

I may have to stop at the Petro Can and get a bag of Miss Vickie's to take with me to work today.

Did you watch the Messier number retirement last night? I think Kevin Lowe was afraid to show his face! Did you notice he wasn't mentioned or out there with all of the other Oilers that Messier played with? Too bad all the Ryan Smyth drama had to happen on the same day.

their Salt and Cracked Pepper is the ne plus ultra of chipdom.

68. Terra Brand brings back strange memories
I used to have an 83-year-old printing salesman named Stoeckley. He didn't have to work--he had at least five million dollars in his bank account, he could have retired 20 years before he did, but he told me his wife had all this work lined up for him the day he retired, and he didn't want to do any of it, so he worked until he died. Fantastic guy.

Anyway, one fine day Stoeckley had a bag of those Terra Brand abominations with him when he came into the shop. He told us he was taking a poll, and before he did he wanted us to eat one of these chips. So we all did.

"Okay, Stoeckley, what's the poll?"

'Do these chips suck worse than anything you've ever had in your mouth? Yes or no.'

The consensus of opinion was that they did.
