"Idiocracy": who's seen it?
somehow, this movie i've been looking forward to (as much as i was looking forward to the release of Dwight Yoakam's "South of Heaven"), by Mike Judge, certified genius, went straight to DVD! WTF?

is it that bad? or is The Man that scared?

1. I thought it was really funny.
BTW, it did have a theatrical run, it was just short, and in few cities, but in any case it wasn't straight to DVD.

2. I was a little disappointed in it.
It was pretty funny, but more slapstick and less cutting satire than I had hoped for.

10. I think the slapstick WAS the satire
as in the movie kind of had to be dumb fart jokes and such.

3. Just saw it this weekend. It wasn't 4 stars, but it was good for a few laughs and it
told the story about where we are headed as a nation, so I liked that part.

4. Disappointing. Seemed like an OK movie screwed up by a really bad editing job.
Maya Rudolph a the end was just about one "Hurry, Frito, Hurry" from making me throw something through the TV screen.

5. I liked it. Good for one viewing. You have to be very fast to catch
all the things going on in the background.

6. The Man is scared.
It satirizes the corporate popular culture mentality. Great movie. See it.

7. I liked it quite a bit
It lost a little bit of steam towards the end, but it's pretty solid overall.

Definitely quashed by The Man.

It was okay on the good side. I loved the way they slammed the RW:

Warning: SPOILER:::

I loved that the only news program was Fox in idiot world.

9. the man is scared - I loved it, but not as much as Office Space
in the future, when everything has been dumbed down, FOX news has not changed. much.

11. Heard it tested really poorly
...but the implication on NPR was that the audience was too stupid to get it. We're too far gone for satire.
