Post a pic of you and a friend!

I recently got back in touch with one of my best friends and my oldest friend. We grew up in church together. Unfortunately, it took her dad dying for us to hook back up. But here we are cheesing around in my living room. I present my friend Mary Ruth.

Just please don't tell her I called her that. She hates it. LOL

Mixing down some tracks we had just recorded. I am the one on the right. I met him in 1974 and we used to put on records and he would play a box like a drum and I played a tennis racket. 30 odd years later we still play, but his drums are real and I still pretend to play guitar. :)

Damn nice looking place to work. Here'a a shot of my toys. I'm currently looking for a new space for the studio, when the baby came along, my studio space turned into a nursery. I have it all racked up for mobile use now, been doing a lot of live recording lately.

58. Three adats allright

The bottom two are my old blackface and an LX-20. The top one is my latest acquisition, the adat HD-24. Man is it sweet, no more tape, 24 tracks, 24 bits.

It's hard to believe that back in '94 when I bought my original blackface adats, 24 tracks of 16 bit would set you back $9-10 grand. Now you can pick up an HD-24 for around $1500 new. Amazing.

32. We're transitioning to the ACU...

We're going to the Army Combat Uniform from the Battle Dress Uniform.

One was a very good uniform. The other is more of a marketing tool.

The ACU is a piece of junk. It's nickname is "Gravel-flague"...meaning it's camouflage only works in/around piles of gravel. In any other environment, you stick out like a sore thumb.

Here's a perfect example. This soldier is wearing the old pattern and the new pattern against a woodland background. Which one works better?
