It's only just under 7 years old - an HP Photosmart 1000 printer that still works like a piece of perfection because, hey, it's a Hewlett-Packard, and they make the very best stuff!!

But, HP has decided that nothing that old will be supported under Windows Vista, which is what my new laptop has.

I just recently spent money buying a new printer for the office, when the other printer (an HP product of a good 10 years) finally bit it. I don't like the idea of now having to buy another one for my home.

Damn!!!!!!!!!!

For the first time in my life, as a buyer of HP products (beginning with an HP-41C in 1984) for 20+ years, I'm pissed at HP.

:grr:

There is NOTHING wrong with this printer. NOTHING. What an environmental waste.
