Did your kids have off school today? I was so steamed, since the school said 2 hour delay and then changed it a half hour later! :grr:

I had to cancel two work appts, since my husband had to go to work. And then there was very little snow later. Crap.

We had a 2-hour delay today, while EVERY OTHER school in our general area was closed. My district rarely closes, and is usually among the last to call a delay. I decided to work from home today, so I got some things done here.

33. yeah it used to be that the city schools (which affects my son's
school closings due to buses, etc.) didn't close often. But lately they seem to be panicking. And at the last minute! I don't get it, the roads looked fine by the time I would have had to get him there for the 2 hour delay.)

Thank god my mum was able to watch Dropkid for the whole day, I'dve been screwn otherwise. They NEVER cancelled school when I went back in the early '90s, this is bull crap. I'm going to write a letter to the school board bitching because they are supposed to have the full notification out by 5:30am at the latest, not change it up at 9am. I would have had to leave work if mum hadn't been able to watch her for the whole day.
