Woohoo! I got Genesis tickets!
Kind of high up and toward the back, but still, Genesis tickets!

Cue the people who think Genesis has:

a) always sucked
b) sucked since Gabriel left
c) sucked since Hackett left

in 5...4...3...

1. Sweet!!
I hope you have a good time. I like Genesis, but I'm a child of the 80s.

:hi:

2. Enjoy the show..
I'm sure you would hate the music I listen to. That is life.

3. Damn you.
I mean congrats. I would love to go but cannot afford much these days. I am pretty bound and determined to see the Police, but not sure how that's going to happen yet.

6. Are they (The Police) playing a stadium near you?
I lucked out since they're playing the ballpark in Philly, so there were plenty of tickets. The fact that somebody gave me the presale info probably helped. :)

7. This is the "reunion" tour.
"Reunion" of the post-Hackett lineup, anyway (Banks/Collins/Rutherford).

9. Is this the Gabiel version, or still the reunited Collins/Banks/Rutherford trio?
I love Genesis - though I hate everything after Mama. Awful, shitty, miserable crap.

I'm very excited for the Gabriel reunion tour - when will that be?

10. No, Banks/Collins/Rutherford.
Say what you will about everything post-"Mama," but it was still miles better than a lot of the pop music coming out at the time.

But that's just my opinion. :)

11. Yes, it was indeed miles better!
Which shows how truly bad the pop stuff is, since the post-Mama stuff was practically unlistenable crap by itself.

12. I saw them on their last tour (w/Phil) in '92 ('93?)
They were quite good (although that was one of the first concerts I ever went to).

I considered trying to get tix for this reunion, but I've seen them before so I decided to hold out until Pete and Steve could join them.

(While I prefer the earlier Gabriel/Hackett stuff, I still liked the later pop albums.)
