Is there a topic that's really upsetting/disgusting to you? For me it's eyes.

Since I arrived at my office, about 4 people have had eye surgery or eye injuries, and tonight I was out at dinner and the people I was at dinner with started talking about eyes. They were talking about people getting their eyes scratched by contacts.

I was really upset by this and literally STUCK MY FINGERS IN MY EARS AND HUMMED, and finally I asked them to PLEASE STOP and they totally kept right on talking about eyes.

I interrupted them AGAIN and asked them to PLEASE STOP and they finally did, but it sort of fucked up my evening.

I'm really upset about it, not just that I had to listen to them ad nauseum but that they didn't stop when I begged them to. Now I can't sleep.

I hate seeing food around people's mouths; totally grosses me out! So those milk mustache ads are ones I just don't want to see, AT ALL!

I could listen to the goriest stories of botched back surgeries, freak helicopter accidents or unfortunate encounters between people and wild boards until the proverbial cows return to pasture. But if it involves even a routine "below the waist" issue? Keep that shit to yourselves, yo. Some of us have delicate sensibilities.

The fact that a billion fucking people don't have clean drinking water. How about the salaries paid to people while a billion fucking people don't have clean drinking water. How about the salaries paid to the people running that "Missile defense shield" which cost far more than it would take to get all the people a drink, while a billion fucking people don't have clean drinking water.

That and people saying I've not helped enough. Mind you, that only happened once, and due to a miscommunication, but I am still upset to think about it.

And finally, if I was not an implicit atheist, then I would have one NASTY afterlife waiting for me - the idea of waiting around in 'luxury' in heaven while people scream forever in pain = my idea of hell.

So when I do go out of my way to understand theists, then I get reminded of that nasty scenario.

I mean, just imagine it. Say, sitting in front of a banquet with loads of friends and family and stuff, while people suffered forever. Fuck that.

Sure, Clinton got a little extra something-something on the side. Is he the first President to do so? NO! Is he the first married man to do so? NO! If the worst thing Clinton did was to make a bad judgment call regarding sexuality, then that's nothing compared to raygun, poppy, and shrub.

There is one thing about the Big Dog that still confuses me. If he wanted to get a little something-something from someone, why her? Not to sound shallow/superficial, but there's a zillion women out there who are more attractive than her.

I work with nothing but a bunch of men, and they talk about hunting all day long. But these guys dont just hunt, they shoot anything for the sake of killing. One guy was talking the other day about shooting a jackrabbit, and I almost fell over, because those are my favorite !!

The only thing "wrong" with her is she's a bit pudgy, but hey, given the Big Dog is America's first Black president, that's a bonus. :D

Just typing this caused me to dry heave.

*Old people talking about their sex lives in intricate detail.
*Raw meat.
*A bunch of physical acts that the thought of makes the bile rise. (I don't care that people do them, but thinking about them makes bile rise into my throat. I'd list them but it'd be a "lock" fo' sho.)
*Blood (I'm a hematophobic...blood makes me pass out. So do vampire movies.)
*Mayonnaise on fried foods. (stomach-churning)
*Veal farming.

Broken bones, surgery involving saws, joint dislocations-- BLEAH!! Even arthritis commercials make me woozy. x(

obviously I don't have a drop of German blood in me

and pics of birds freak me out.

I work in a ocular surgical practice... I've seen some doozies!!

I once had a fellow present with a staple in his eye, he was a construction worker and was using an electric staple gun. That was no fun.

Anyway, yeah... eye injuries are not pleasant.
