Not a tearful goodbye, but goodbye none the less.
I have asked that my account be closed here at DU.
I just wanted to take a minute to let you all know that I have sincerely enjoyed the time I have spent here with you all.
Circumstances regarding freedom of speech and lack thereof here at DU have left me with no option but to leave.

Please know that there are many of you, too many to name, that I have come to care for and respect. You know who you are and you know how to get in touch with me if you choose to do so.

52. Umm. I wasn't trying to be "funny".
I don't know the details, nor do I care to know them. My only point was that DU "swan songs" don't tend to have long-lasting effects. Usually, it's because of a perceived insult to one's self and/or one's friend/partner. Odds are that when someone stops being upset, they will start posting again. I didn't mean for my original post to be an insult of any sort. (As a matter of fact, I quite enjoy the posts of the OP)
